New Oscillator, Sensor, Comparator, And Constant Gain Amplifier Available For Licensing

Micro Oscillator, Inc. Releases New I. P.

Bala Cynwyd, Pa, February 9, 2009-Micro Oscillator, Inc. (MOI), an innovative provider of allsilicon CMOS-based clock oscillators, today announced the release of new oscillator, sensor, comparator, and constant gain amplifier I.P. for licensing.

IP in production;

1/ Silicon Oscillator
In production by Micro Oscillator Inc. (micro-oscillator.com) and also by a top 10 Semiconductor Manufacturer. (available for nonexclusive license)

The MOI-2000 clock oscillator is a CMOS integrated circuit that can replace ceramic resonators or crystal oscillators in microcontroller based systems that do not require precise accuracy. The patented temperature and voltage compensated oscillator can operate at ± 0.5% total frequency accuracy over the temperature and voltage range without using ceramic resonators, quartz crystals or other external components for frequency determination. Using LC type oscillators ± 100 PPM total frequency accuracy can be achived.

Technology; CMOS
Applications; Clock oscillator, Spread spectrum clock
Advantages; low cost, no external oscillator needed

New IP;
1/ Patent 7,456,700 Variable loop gain oscillator system;

Sensor measuring system

Technology; Bipolar, CMOS or SiC (can even be made with vacuum tubes)
Applications; Wide operating temperature range system that uses variable capacitance or resistance sensors for measuring temperature, pressure, humidity, etc. with Digital output

Advantages; The output is determined by the ratio of resistors and capacitors. Absolute part values and transistor gain and offset are not critical. Also has high environmental noise immunity. The signal across sensor is a sinusoidal AC voltage.

NOTE; This is sensor measuring system can also be built as a very low cost CMOS I.C. for the commercial market. Can be combined with MEMS sensor for pressure measurement.

2/ Patent Application 11/603589 ; Reduced offset voltage comparator system

Technology; CMOS
Applications; precision comparator
Advantages; offset trimming not needed

3/ Patent 7,466,178; Multivibrator with reduced average offset voltage

Technology; Bipolar or CMOS
Applications; 32KHz oscillator, temperature, pressure, etc sensor with variable frequency output
Advantages; Wide temperature range operation without need for trimming amplifier offset

4/ Patent 6,281,732 Precision multivibrator using stabilized amplifier system

Technology; CMOS
Applications; 32KHz oscillator, temperature, pressure, etc. sensor with variable frequency output
Advantages; Wide temperature range operation without need for trimming amplifier offset

5/ Patent Application; Current Sensor measuring system

Technology; Bipolar or CMOS
Applications; Wide temperature temperature range current sensor with Digital output
Advantages; The output is determined by the ratio of resistors. Absolute resistor part values and transistor gain and offset are not critical. External precision resistor is not needed.

NOTE; This is current sensor measuring system can also be built as a very low cost CMOS I.C. for the commercial market

6/ Patent Application 12/151294; Constant gain amplifier system with positive and negative feedback

Technology; Bipolar or CMOS
Applications; Instrumentation amplifiers, RF amplifiers, or other constant gain amplifiers that need wide frequency bandwidth.
Advantages; Wide frequency bandwidth with constant gain over a wide temperature range. Frequency bandwidth is not limited by negative feedback stability concerns of input signal amplifier.

IP in Experimental Stage

Voltage reference system (uses MEMS Capacitor)

Technology; Bipolar or CMOS (can even be made with vacuum tubes)
Applications; Wide temperature range temperature operation and supply voltages
Advantages; Not limited by silicon band gap voltage. The reference voltage level is determined by the ratio of resistors and capacitors. Absolute part values and transistor gain and offset are not critical.

NOTE; This is not a band gap reference or zener diode based design, it is a new class of voltage reference circuit.
